Vintage Style Picture Framing Featuring Charleston Artist, Whitney Stoddard

Whitney Stoddard is an artist residing in Charleston, South Carolina. She is currently featuring her Tea Stained Collection, a series of female silhouettes on tea-stained watercolor paper she makes by hand for each piece.

As part of the new team of artists and designers for the Vault on King, (a luxury retail art space and gallery in Charleston) she is gaining a wider audience of admirers and collectors.

Whitney came across our ornate vintage and handmade picture frames on our Etsy shop (link) and has since created a beautiful collection of her pieces in our best vintage frames!

To create her figures and portraits, she uses a combination of charcoal sketch, acrylic paint, and India ink on tea stained paper which she creates herself by hand for each piece using leaves from the Charleston Tea Plantation, located in Wadmalow Island, SC.
